  • Your neighborhood, which is located adjacent to the newly built Town of Queen Creek Fire Station #5, has been identified as a beneficiary of improved fire and EMS response that would come from joining the QCCIFD.
  • Property Tax Calculation
Example: $300,000 [Limited Property Value] x .1 [or 10%] = $30,000 [Assessed Value ] then, $30,000 [Assessed Value]/100 x $2.2045*  = $661.35. (*Tax Rate adjusts every July to reflect contract costs with the Town of Queen Creek.)

The Queen Creek County Island Fire District (QCCIFD) was formed in January 2013 to secure fire protection, emergency medical and associated emergency response services for the residents and property owners of the county islands within the Town of Queen Creek’s municipal planning area (MPA) located within Maricopa County. The Town of Queen Creek Fire Department is the fire and emergency services provider for the QCCIFD and provides these services pursuant to an intergovernmental agreement (IGA).

The QCCIFD is an Arizona special taxing district formed and operated pursuant to Arizona Revised Statute (ARS) §48-851 et. al.

The district is statutorily prohibited from acquiring and owning assets, employment of personnel, issuing long-term debt or the direct provision of fire services. The QCCIFD exists for the sole purpose of obtaining fire and associated emergency services through IGA or contract. The district’s board is responsible for negotiating the fire service IGA, setting the annual budget, secondary property tax levy and tax rate. The district’s secondary property tax levy is used to pay for the fire services obtained through the IGA with the Town of Queen Creek and ancillary administrative costs.

The Governing Board holds regular public meetings on the 3rd Wednesday of every other month (January, March, May, July, September, November) at the Town of Queen Creek’s Town Hall, located at 22358 S Ellsworth Road, Queen Creek, AZ.

. The meetings start at 6:30 pm and a public forum (Call to the Public) is held each meeting. The next meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, May 15, 2024 @ 6:30pm.

Note: In accordance with state law, notice for all special district public meetings, along with agendas must be posted at least 24-hours in advance of the meeting.
